Hello! My name is Jerrod D. Brito, and I'm an award-winning screenwriter (Adalynn, 2023, Horned, 2023), filmmaker, and published author from Denver, Colorado. My work has been distributed by Full Moon Entertainment, screened at Troma's TromaDance Festival, and has been performed by the Pandemic Collective Theater Company.​ ​I’m asking for help to bring my 6-issue graphic novel, Patient, to life. On the surface, Patient is a mix of horror and comedy that plays out during a zombie outbreak. But deep down, it’s a story about depression, anxiety, coping skills (or lack thereof), and a commentary about how people do and/or don’t relate to each other in times of crisis. ​Helping me tell this story is a phenomenally talented artist from Istanbul, Turkey named Buğra Batuhan Berah (Post Malone's "Big Rig" #1). While we were able to complete the first issue of Patient, and all six issues are written, there are still five more that need to be illustrated, colored, and lettered. I've put my plasma, sweat, and tears into making this comic, but, as I’m sure most of you already know, great art ain’t cheap, and as much as I'd like to, I can't personally afford a wizard like Buğra to make this story pop off the page without your help. My goal is to raise enough money to complete each issue, get some cool perks for you, and have some cash leftover to commission a few variant covers and some more promotional art as well.

6-Issue Graphic Novel (22 full-color story pages each) with spinoff and franchise potential. When a deadly virus confines a depressed, anxiety-ridden stoner and a sardonic receptionist to a clinic full of zombies––with no communication to the outside world––the unlikely team must work through their issues with themselves and each other to find the will and means to survive.
